Industrial Revolution

The term "Industrial Revolution" refers to the set of technical and economic transformations that began in England in the second half of the eighteenth century and spread throughout practically all of Europe and North America. The invention of the steam engine and its subsequent application to industry and transport is considered to be the major cause that gave rise to the Industrial Revolution. Thereafter, techniques of organization and rationalization of labor and mass production arose.
