Floods

Flood is a large amount of water that flows violently, resulting from abundant rainfall.

This water violence has a great erosive power. On sloping land without vegetation cover, runoffs can draw from shallow furrows to deeper ones called ravines.

In Brazil, the combined action of runoff and groundwater causes gullies, huge holes that destroy arable land, damaging agriculture.
